While on her deathbed, Brian and Pearl share a fantasy intimate moment, but as they are about to kiss, she dies. He convinces Pearl to actually go outside, but she gets by a bus. Brian warms up to her, realizing where her pain comes from, and eventually she warms up to him too. Later, Brian watches a television documentary that reveals Pearl's past as a top advertising jingle singer of the 1950s and 60s. Brian gets so fed up with her insanity, that he storms out of her house.
When Brian is arrested for drunk driving, he's forced to do community service, which consists of helping Pearl, a middle-aged, agoraphobic, bitter woman. The nasty fall - and subsequent crash-landing into a large vat of lard - leaves him horribly disfigured (ie: back to normal). Unable to take his eyes off himself, Peter plunges his car over a cliff. Lois doesn't like the new Peter's attitude, especially when he joins "The Beautiful People's Club." Karma catches up to Peter while he's on his way to the club. The new, handsome Peter starts getting all sorts of special treatment: at the gym, at the grocery store, even from total strangers.
Peter loves the results of his lipo and decides to have some work done on his face. The new, svelte Peter has Lois all hot and bothered. Even though Chris isn't up for surgery, Peter decides to go for it. Stewie starts taunting Chris by eating everything in sight, and starts packing on the baby fat. Peter tries to talk Chris into getting liposuction, while Lois starts preparing him special low fat meals. Lois and Peter soon discover that Chris has been skipping gym class because he's self-conscious about his body. As this is happening, Larry references the "Luke, I am your father." line from the movie The Empire Strikes Back by saying "Luke, this is your landlord. When Larry plugs the lamp in, it turns into a wide lightsaber and he cuts the store in half. Larry, looking for a light bulb for his bedside lamp, puts in a high-wattage lighthouse bulb, then criticizes Steve for saying that wasn't a good idea, commenting that he didn't go to kindergarten for 12 years because he was stupid (it was because he got his foot caught in the radiator). While at the mall, the two destroy nearly everything.

Steve recounts for the tape the misadventures that have ensued ever since Larry bought Steve from the dog pound, focusing on a series of misadventures and hijinks that ensued when the pair went to the mall to buy items for Larry's apartment.
